Litigation Attorney – Foreclosure / Creditors’ Rights

About the role

A women-owned foreclosure and creditors' rights law firm representing banks and financial institutions across NY, NJ, PA, DE, FL, and MD is hiring a Litigation Attorney for their Melville office. The position involves handling lender-side foreclosure matters and working with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.

Responsibilities

• Managing and prioritizing a large foreclosure litigation docket
• Drafting and reviewing pleadings to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Appearing at hearings, settlement conferences, and status conferences
• Working directly with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members
• Identifying practical, compliant solutions to mitigate client risk

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD)
• Member in good standing of the New York State Bar
• 4+ years of foreclosure litigation experience
• Prior exposure to title, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and/or mortgage banking strongly preferred
• Ability to thrive in a structured, highly regulated, high-expectation environment

$130,000 - $160,000 per year
