Litigation Attorney - Consumer Financial & Insurance Services

About the role

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP seeks an attorney to join its Consumer Financial Services & Insurance Services practice groups. This position is fully remote within the Seattle area.

Responsibilities

• Work within a collaborative, nationally recognized team representing insurance companies and financial institutions in complex litigation matters.
• Span a broad range of insurance coverage issues including bad faith, professional liability, pollution, construction defect, personal and advertising injury, cyber liability, and excess liability.
• Engage in consumer financial services litigation involving single-plaintiff matters and appeals in state and federal courts.
• Manage a diverse and challenging caseload and directly involve in litigation strategy.

Requirements

• Admission to the Washington State Bar in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience in civil litigation in state and federal courts.
• Experience in either (or both): Insurance coverage litigation or Consumer financial services litigation, representing financial institutions.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

What We Offer

• The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000 to $190,000, depending on factors such as experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
• This range applies only to candidates performing work in Washington.
