We're hiring a Litigation Attorney for our Philadelphia, PA or Westmont, NJ (Hybrid) offices to handle lender-side foreclosure matters. Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal
- Represent clients in courtroom proceedings, ensuring their rights and interests are effectively protected
- Conduct thorough and detailed discovery to gather necessary information and evidence for each case
- Draft and review various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, agreements, and other litigation-related documents
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in the banking sector, focusing on creditors' rights
- Handle commercial litigation cases, developing strategies to effectively represent our clients' interests
- Defend insurance companies in litigation, understanding and addressing the unique challenges of this sector
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends that may impact our clients
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney with a focus on discovery, courtroom proceedings, drafting legal documents, creditors' rights, banking, commercial litigation, and insurance defense
- Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar
- Demonstrated experience managing complex litigation cases from start to finish
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Proven track record of representing clients effectively in court
Pay
$120,000 - $140,000 per year
