Litigation Associate – New York

About the role

Thompson Coburn is seeking an associate with 2-4 years of relevant legal experience to join its business litigation group in the New York office.

Responsibilities

• Drafting motions and pleadings
• Conducting legal research
• Managing discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Assisting with trial preparation

Requirements

• Experience handling complex business disputes
• Strong writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Able to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Prior commercial litigation experience in both state and/or federal courts in New York

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice law in the New York

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis

Pay

The salary range for this position in our New York office is $205,000-$240,000. Actual salary will vary and may be above or below the range based on relevant skills, training, and other job-related factors.
