Litigation Associate - Consumer Finance

About the role

The West Coast Litigation practice group of Holland & Knight seeks an Associate to support its nationwide consumer finance litigation defense team in one of the firm’s Southern California offices.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in state and federal courts and arbitration forums against consumer finance litigation cases.
• Defend claims arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and California consumer protection statutes, including the Rosenthal Act, the California Consumer Credit Reporting Agencies Act (CCRAA), and common law claims.
• Experience in consumer class action defense is a plus.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
• Strong research and writing skills.

Pay

The pay range for this position in California is $260,000 - $435,000/yr. This range is specific to this location and may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.

Schedule

A minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
