Litigation Associate
About the role
Burr & Forman LLP has an immediate opening in its Birmingham, AL office for a Litigation Associate in its Financial Services Litigation Practice Group. This position requires a J.D. degree and membership in the Alabama Bar. This candidate should have three or more years of litigation experience, and a federal clerkship is preferred. Burr will consider various types of litigation experience. Quality candidates will be self-starters with great client service skills, strong academic credentials, as well as strong research, writing, organizational and analytical skills. Candidates must be qualified to practice law in Florida, and qualifications to practice law in other states is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on complex legal issues
- Prepare and present legal arguments in court
- Manage and conduct legal research
- Collaborate with colleagues on case strategies
- Handle client communications and meetings
Requirements
- J.D. degree and membership in the Alabama Bar
- Three or more years of litigation experience
- A federal clerkship is preferred
