Accurate Communication is looking for experienced Lithuanian–English interpreters in the Los Angeles area for in-person assignments on an as-needed contractor basis. We reach out when a request comes in — you accept only the assignments that fit your schedule. Where you’ll work Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD)Medical appointments and healthcare facilitiesGovernment agencies and social servicesCommunity and educational settings What You’ll Do Interpret for individuals with limited English proficiency across a range of social service settingsProvide consecutive interpretation between English and LithuanianListen to complete statements in one language and render them accurately in the other, including the response backAdjust between close and meaning-based interpretation as the setting requiresMaintain confidentiality, impartiality, and professional conduct at all times Requirements High school diploma or GEDMinimum 3 years of professional interpreting experienceFull fluency in Lithuanian and English, spoken and writtenStrong listening and short-term retention skillsReliable transportation and the ability to travel to assignments across the LA areaMust be legally authorized to work in the United States Nice to have Interpreter certification or formal trainingPrior experience in medical, educational, or legal settings Job type: Contract, part-time, freelance Location: In-person, Los Angeles area
