About the role
This position involves setting up and operating lithography equipment to meet customer specifications, working with colors and inks to produce high-quality aluminum containers.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and can drawings to determine job specifications and tooling.
- Set up and operate all lithography equipment.
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on lithography-related equipment.
- Observe machine operations to detect faults and make necessary adjustments.
- Communicate with fellow operators to update on production status.
- Perform routine quality checks and record findings to ensure cans meet job specifications.
- Obtain coating weights and record information for EPA data analysis.
- Proficiently perform changeovers and production of aluminum containers to customer specifications.
- Monitor environmental factors (e.g., humidity, temperature) that may impact equipment performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Authority to stop or modify work processes due to non-conformance or unsafe conditions.
- Report potential food safety concerns to the quality assurance manager.
- Perform all other assigned job duties.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to see details at close range and distinguish differences between colors, including shades and brightness.
- Blueprint reading proficiency.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Measuring skills using calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Quality control skills.
- Team player with a "can do" attitude.
- Ability to stand for long periods on a concrete floor.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and communication).
Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and noise.
