Liquor Store General Manager 1A - Fickes Lane, Newport

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store's performance, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving operational success. You will be a key leader, overseeing day-to-day activities, developing a high-performing team, and implementing strategies to exceed sales targets while maintaining a top-tier store environment.

• Staff Management: Lead, direct, and manage daily operations; assign tasks; monitor work performance; provide training; and motivate staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow
• Operational Oversight: Monitor inventory, handle cash management, complete sales reporting, set schedules, and maintain accurate records in line with company policies and procedures
• Customer Assistance: Help customers find products, provide helpful recommendations and alternatives
• Store Readiness: Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and employees
• Marketing Support: Collaborate with the broader management team to develop and implement effective strategies; ensure signage, shelves, and displays follow approved guidelines and look appealing
• Teamwork Support: Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment where staff are engaged, motivated, and have the knowledge and skills to succeed

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Work Schedule: Full-time employment. Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
