Liquor Clerk

About the role

Part-time, non-union position at Cub Liquor in West St. Paul, reporting to the Liquor Store Manager. This role offers a flexible work schedule with varied hours Sunday through Saturday, and opportunities for career advancement in a diverse and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Ring up customer purchases accurately, efficiently, and promptly
• Problem-solve customer questions and concerns (may require manager assistance)
• Fill and rotate cases and displays, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Assist with receiving products and merchandising to keep shelves stocked
• Help maintain a clean and safe store environment
• Collaborate with the team on all tasks necessary for store operations
• Create displays, fill coolers, and stock shelves with accuracy and enthusiasm
• Follow all municipal, state, county, and location carding laws

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a focus on customer service
• Experience working in a liquor store preferred
• Knowledge of wine, beer, and food pairings is a plus
• Ability to perform physical tasks including:
• Lifting/carrying over 50 lbs
• Pushing/pulling up to 2000 force lbs
• Walking, reaching, standing, stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling
• Repetitive motion (turning, bending)
• Occasional climbing of ladders
• Extended exposure to cold temperatures and wet surfaces
• Proficiency in operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, registers, and check approval machines
• Strong judgment, decision-making, social, and verbal interaction skills
• Ability to perform mental math and calculations
• Basic computer skills, memorization, reading, and writing abilities

Pay

Up to $16.00 per hour.
