Liquor Clerk

Part-time, non-union position at Jerry's Wine and Spirits. Work varied hours Sunday through Saturday in a rewarding, diverse environment with opportunities for career advancement and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ring up customer purchases accurately, efficiently, and promptly
• Problem solve customer questions and concerns (may require manager assistance)
• Fill and rotate cases and displays (may involve heavy lifting up to 50 lbs)
• Assist with receiving products and merchandising to keep shelves stocked
• Help maintain a clean and safe store environment
• Collaborate with the team on all tasks necessary for store operations
• Create displays, fill coolers, and stock shelves accurately and enthusiastically
• Follow all municipal, state, and county carding laws

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Friendly, outgoing personality that promotes customer service for the entire team
• Experience working in a liquor store preferred
• Knowledge of wine, beer, and food pairings
• Motivated to grow career and continue learning
• Ability to perform physical tasks including:
  • Lifting/carrying over 50 lbs
  • Pushing/pulling up to 2000 force lbs
  • Walking, reaching, standing, stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling
  • Repetitive motion: turning, bending
• Ability to operate equipment including:
  • Forklift, pallet jack, flatbed cart, two-wheeled dolly, carts
  • Box cutter, compactor, scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, telephone
• Skills required:
  • Judgment and decision making
  • Social skills and verbal interaction
  • Memorization, reading, writing, basic computer skills
  • Mental math and calculation
• Ability to work in environmental conditions with extended exposure to cold temperatures and wet surfaces
• Occasional physical climbing of ladders

Frequent position functions (15% of work shift or at least ten repetitions per shift) and occasional functions (less than 15% of work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per shift) may vary by store.
