About the role

Liquor Barn, Party Mart, and DEP'S (BRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of GoPuff, operating a retail chain of spirits, beer, wine, and party goods across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. We operate 23 retail locations in Louisville, Lexington, Danville, Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Owensboro, and Northern Kentucky, with a delivery radius reaching 80% of Kentucky residents. A Store Associate provides excellent customer service while driving sales through BRS products, building relationships with customers, and delivering a superior shopping experience through sales, customer support, and cashier responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and establishing rapport with customers while informing them of BRS products and services
• Demonstrate knowledge of BRS products to provide customers with recommendations
• Drive sales in all departments
• Replenish and maintain inventory
• Perform cashier functions and adhere to minor policy while completing customer transactions
• Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronics
• Follow proper age verification policies
• Accept payments, such as cash, checks, and credit cards
• Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate and provide a customer receipt
• Process refunds and exchanges
• Balance register drawer
• Bag or box purchases to ensure safe transport
• Follow all BRS procedures regarding coupons and gift cards
• Maintain store safety standards
• Ensure store cleanliness and assist in maintaining standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms
• Assist in promotions and setup of BRS events
• Observe BRS vehicle policies and procedure guidelines
• Maintain all safety standards for BRS deliveries
• Deliver items to customers
• Follow delivery driving routes and time schedules
• Inform manager of vehicle operating condition problems

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires (nights, weekends and holidays)
• Desire to continually develop retail sales skills and knowledge of product and services
• One year as a store associate or customer service representative
• Prior experience in a team environment requiring professional communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary for establishing customer and team relationships
• Ability to demonstrate a positive and engaging attitude and demeanor
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform the following physical requirements:
  • Frequently standing and moving in an assigned location safely and efficiently
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Handling objects, products, and equipment safely
  • Bending, kneeling
