Responsibilities
- Coordinate product receipt, processing, storage, and shipment activities in alignment with customer requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of a range of liquid products including refined fuels, marine fuels, and crude oil.
- Manage daily operations, foster team performance, and serve as a key liaison between operations personnel, customers, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee and support frontline supervisors and crew leads, ensuring that operational teams are well-coordinated, trained, and performing effectively.
- Ensure the staffing, training, development, and discipline of liquids operation personnel.
- Manage the performance and development of both field and office-based team members.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and company safety policies.
- Lead safety initiatives, conduct audits, and promote a strong safety culture across the team.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.
- Oversee the maintenance and readiness of equipment and ensure timely procurement of parts and supplies.
- Work with the maintenance team to execute preventive maintenance plans.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with logistics, customer service, and other departments to ensure coordinated, efficient operations.
- Support strategic initiatives and contribute to company-wide improvement efforts.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Chemical Engineer with 5+ years managing operations preferred.
- 12+ years demonstrated success in safely overseeing and managing a liquids operation department.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
- Must pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test, physical and background check.
Physical Demands
- Candidates must be able to work in confined spaces and be capable of climbing ladders, scaffolds, and working at heights.
- Must be able to perform work wearing PPE including but not limited to rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, FRC, hard hat, ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.
- Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, unassisted.
- Will be working M-F, normal day shift, eight hours, and overtime required as needed.
