Liquid Handling Systems Technician (Assembly, Calibration & Service)

About the Role

Hudson Lab Automation is seeking a full-time Liquid Handling Systems Technician to perform liquid handler head repairs, rebuilds, and calibration, as well as build service spare part kits. Multi-channel liquid handler heads are critical components of automated laboratory instruments that precisely transfer liquids across multiple samples, combining mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical elements for accurate, repeatable liquid handling in research, diagnostic, and life science applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate liquid handler head refurbishment program to ensure head availability meets demand.
• Rebuild and repair liquid handler heads.
• Build service spares modules and test spare parts before shipment.
• Perform calibration on liquid handler heads.
• Conduct quality inspections on products and parts.
• Prepare finished products and parts for shipment.
• Pull kits from inventory.

Requirements

• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related fields.
• Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of voltmeter operation and ability to test circuits.
• Ability to handle physical workload (lift 40 pounds safely and consistently).
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Sufficient visual acuity to inspect small parts, wiring, and mechanical assemblies.
• Strong teamwork skills.
