Position Summary

Vertiv’s Thermal Service organization is hiring a Liquid Cooling Services Operations Manager. This role involves leading the company’s fluid management services, direct to chip service, and project support business operations. Key responsibilities include establishing processes for maintaining liquid cooling systems, creating service scopes, coordinating with fluid suppliers, and building remediation plans.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Project deployment and Field Services organizations to establish standard methods and procedures.
  • Create service and delivery scope of work in collaboration with technical and service sales teams.
  • Interface with Vertiv’s water treatment suppliers to gather remediation instructions and convert material prices to cost estimates.
  • Implement fluid treatment based on specific instructions from chemical suppliers and ensure successful execution.
  • Evaluate alternative delivery methods to enhance the success of Vertiv’s liquid cooling services.
  • Establish and implement processes to improve hand-offs between functional areas and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Build and modify existing Liquid Cooling services to adapt to the evolving landscape of direct to chip cooling.
  • Ensure issues are resolved promptly and communicated to stakeholders, including both process and technical engineering solutions.
  • Support Vertiv’s existing liquid cooling program reporting and customer KPIs.
  • Document remediation efforts and escalate lab test results that fall outside set parameters.
  • Execute complex mechanical and electrical projects or services programs.
  • Identify key points to ensure Vertiv Service meets its deliverables and maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Communicate effectively, including conducting effective meetings and presentations.
  • Position Vertiv’s service programs to provide value to customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent field services experience.
  • 5+ years of service or installation field or management experience, particularly in critical infrastructure expertise with thermal cooling systems and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of construction and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of engineering, data center infrastructure, and commissioning processes.
  • Highly developed communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and people skills.
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
