Liquid Batcher / Line Operator – Weekend Operations (3 Days, Paid for 40 Hours!)
About the role
Fortress Nutrition is growing—and we’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Liquid Batcher / Canning Line Operator to join our Beverage Operations team. This is a dual-role position, where you will primarily support batching operations and step in on the canning line when batching is complete.
This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a second job to earn more income, shows up consistently, and wants to be part of a team that produces high-quality products at scale. Work 3 days and get paid for 40 hours! Enjoy a consistent 3-day work week while earning a full-time paycheck—giving you more time off without giving up income. The schedule is a weekend shift, Friday – Sunday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with a 3-day work week (36 hours worked, paid for 40 hours!).
Responsibilities
As a Liquid Batcher / Canning Line Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing the MMRs (batch ticket) and obtaining necessary ingredients from coolers, warehouse, etc. to prepare for the batching process
- Pre-weighing, measuring, and mixing raw ingredients following MMRs (batch tickets)
- Loading ingredients into tanks and ensuring proper blending to meet specifications, including consistencies
- Performing basic quality checks of mixing and syrup tanks, including pulling water samples and monitoring pH levels
- Reporting any quality, safety, or process deviations immediately
- Maintaining good housekeeping and high levels of cleanliness and food safety/sanitation standards in the batching areas at all times
On the canning line, you will:
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain canning line equipment (filler, seamer, packaging, etc.)
- Monitor production to ensure efficiency, quality, and minimal downtime
- Act quickly to identify and address equipment issues or slowdowns
- Support overall production needs and assist team members as needed
- Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, and sanitation standards
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Support operations through overtime as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
The following qualifications are required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in batching, mixing, or similar roles (liquid batching preferred)
- Basic math and conversion skills (e.g., kilos to pounds, gallons to pounds)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes exactly in order
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Must be able to work and stay on task under minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work overtime, flexible hours, and be on-call as needed
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience in food, beverage, bottling, canning, high-speed packaging, or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and quality standards
- Previous machine operating experience
Physical Requirements
The following physical requirements apply:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
- Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs on a frequent basis
- Bending, kneeling, climbing (on ladders/mezzanines up to 20 feet high), and reaching as needed
- Use of hands to handle tools, materials, and equipment
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and operate tools and equipment
Pay & Benefits
The pay range for this role is $23.00 – $25.00+ per hour (based on experience, with higher rates offered based on experience and qualifications). A weekend shift premium of +$1.00 is also offered.
