A Systems Engineer responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing IT automation solutions within secure, isolated network environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage virtualized infrastructures
- Engineer scalable storage and file systems
- Develop technical documentation
- Collaborate on technology integration
- Conduct system audits to ensure compliance and operational integrity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 14+ years of experience or an Associate's degree with 19+ years of relevant experience
- Extensive Linux administration skills
- Proficiency with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher)
- Experience with DevOps tools (nxLog, Grafana, Git)
- Automation scripting skills (Bash, Ansible, SaltStack)
- Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
Preferred Skills
- Automating data flow with NiFi
- Managing enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware)
- Automating database backups and migrations
- Implementing automated security hardening (STIGs/CIS)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain stationary for at least 50% of the time
- Occasional movement within the office
- Frequent operation of computers and office machinery
