Responsibilities

• Combine technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in the Intelligence Community.
• Understand customer’s environment and develop the right systems for their mission.
• Translate real-world needs into technical specifications to deliver customer‑focused engineering solutions.
• Design, develop, and evolve Linux‑based solutions for global, multi‑infrastructure systems supporting real‑time mission operations.
• Broaden skillset into automation, virtualization, cloud solutions, machine learning, and secure access service edge.
• Merge Linux troubleshooting, solutions development, testing, and implementation with new skills in automation, virtualization, and cloud implementation to meet real‑time Air Force customer needs while creating a framework for future technology innovations.

Qualifications

• Experience updating, testing, and validating changes to systems.
• Experience with system security hardening and patching for Linux systems and workstations.
• Knowledge of System Administration interdependencies specific to RHEL 8 and RHEL 9 systems and administration of Linux‑based workstations.
• Knowledge of GitLab and Ansible with experience building and modifying playbooks.
• Knowledge of RHEL subscription manager.
• Knowledge of PKI infrastructure.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information technology, or engineering and 10+ years of experience with administration of Linux‑based systems and workstation; or HS Diploma or GED and 12+ years of experience with administration of Linux‑based systems and workstation.
• DoD 8570‑Compliant IAT Level II or III Certification, such as Security+ Certification.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $86.54 to $110.58 per hour.
