Linux Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Translate real-world needs into technical specifications
• Lead the creation of Linux-based solutions for global, multi-infrastructure systems
• Support real-time mission operations
• Evolve systems with advanced technology solutions
• Merge Linux troubleshooting, solutions development, testing, and implementation with new skills in automation, virtualization, and cloud implementation
• Broaden skillset into areas like automation, virtualization, and cloud solutions

Requirements

• Experience updating, testing, and validating changes to systems
• Knowledge of System Administration interdependencies specific to RHEL 8 and RHEL 9 systems
• Experience with system security hardening and patching for Linux systems and workstations
• Knowledge of GitLab and Ansible with experience building and modifying playbooks
• Knowledge of RHEL subscription manager
• Knowledge of PKI infrastructure
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information technology, or engineering or equivalent experience
• DoD 8570-Compliant IAT Level II or III Certification, such as Security+ Certification

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux-based systems and workstations
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, information technology, or engineering
• RedHat Linux Certification
• Experience creating Linux-based solutions for customer requirements
• Experience using health and status monitoring software, including Nagios
• Experience supporting U.S. government customers, preferably within the U.S. Intelligence Community
• Experience with Linux scripting languages
• Knowledge of network concepts and switch/firewall configurations

$86.54 to $110.58 per hour
