Linux / AWS Systems Administrator

Position Overview

The Amatriot Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux admin to work with our dynamic team of IT professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud environments, an understanding of cloud services, and a strong Linux command line understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Workstation and Server support:
  • Local Linux Desktop support
  • Support local and remote “Cloud-in-a-box” infrastructure (Nutanix)
  • Comfortable with hardware deployments and troubleshooting
• Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Manage and Maintain cloud-based resources (AWS)
  • IPA
  • Puppet
  • Documentation
• Network Support:
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for our cloud-based network infrastructure
  • Support/troubleshoot local network issues

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in server/desktop Linux system administration and network troubleshooting.
• Skills:
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and methodologies
  • Experience navigating Linux Command Line
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
• Certifications: Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent/higher)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Puppet, IPA, Kubernetes
• Experience or understanding of Cloud-in-a-Box Solutions
• Experience with Ansible and Scripting

Pay

Target Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000 (depending on education level, years of experience, and/or certifications in addition to other position-specific requirements)
