We are hiring freelance linguists and native translators in six languages: Arabic, Swahili, Japanese, French, Thai and Chinese.AI today is fluent in these languages but not correct in them. It produces sentences that read smoothly and still break the rules of the language: wrong word order, missing case markers, broken agreement, honorifics applied to the wrong person. Native speakers see it immediately. Standard evaluation metrics do not.With #Mātr we are building the layer that fixes this. It sits alongside existing AI models and corrects their outputs against the structural rules of each language. That correction is only as good as the linguistic knowledge behind it, which is why this work cannot be scraped or auto-generated. It has to come from people who know the language from the inside. What we are looking for:1. Native-level fluency and daily use of the language. 2. A background in linguistics, translation, language teaching or lexicography. 3. The ability to judge grammar precisely, not just whether a sentence sounds acceptable, but which rule it violates and why. 4. Comfortable working through structured worksheets covering word order, case, agreement, tense and aspect, honorifics and register. 5. Experience reviewing or post-editing machine translation is an advantage, not a requirement. The engagement: paid freelance work, priced per completed project, fully remote and flexible. Ongoing work is available for contributors whose output holds up under review, and academic credit is available for those contributing to published research.
