About the Role
Working as part of a small crew, you will be involved in all facets of underground, overhead, and substation construction and maintenance activities, as well as emergency restoration work. After-hours fault and emergency response work may also be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction and maintenance activities for underground and overhead distribution networks
- Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground assets
- Participate in emergency restoration work and after-hours fault response
- Work safely and adhere to OH&S policies and procedures covering field operations
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team
Requirements
- Trade qualification as a Distribution Powerline Worker, Lineworker, or Electrical Fitter Mechanic
- Sound knowledge of construction and maintenance practices for underground and overhead distribution networks
- Experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead and underground assets
- Current HR driver’s licence
- Customer-centric approach

Desirable Qualifications & Skills
- HR Licence (Heavy Rigid)
- WorkCover Certificates: EWP (Elevated Work Platform), C2, DG (Dangerous Goods), and Forklift
- Traffic Control Certificates
- Switching capability
- Proficiency in using iPads and Microsoft Office
Pay
- Distribution Powerline Worker: Base salary $83,300 to $94,100 (avg 36 hours per week, 9-day fortnight) + 17% super + allowances and additional benefits. Typical total earnings: $140,542 to $152,515 per annum (estimate based on most common amounts paid last year).
- Lineworker: Base salary $74,700 to $81,900 (36-hour week, 9-day fortnight) + 17% super + allowances and additional benefits. Typical total earnings: $122,255 to $132,669 per annum (estimate based on most common amounts paid last year).
- Electrical Fitter Mechanic: Base salary $83,700 to $94,600 (avg 36 hours per week, 9-day fortnight) + 17% super + allowances and additional benefits. Typical total earnings: $149,751 to $160,782 per annum (estimate based on most common amounts paid last year).
