Lineworker Backup Operator - 2nd Shift

About the role

Will work on various locations on the production line, performing duties such as arranging and straightening chicken parts and/or packing finished product according to specifications. This position must be capable of learning and performing additional roles and responsibilities and have the desire to move into higher-level positions, such as learning how to operate machines, pallet jacks, or other positions as necessary. Pay varies based on the backup position being performed.

Responsibilities

• Separate and sort chicken parts on conveyor belt.
• Remove un-battered or seconds pieces from the line and pack them as specified.
• Prepare boxes for packers by staging boxes, bags, and labels ahead.
• Pack individual pieces in portion packs according to specifications.
• Assist in changing packing area from bulk to portion pack.
• Keep work area clean.
• Perform frequent repetitive bending, lifting, and twisting throughout the work shift.
• Assist in sanitizing the area as required.
• Work in other departments or perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• High noise exposure.
• Temperature variations from warm to cool to extremely cold.
• Slippery floors.
• Wear appropriate PPE and other required equipment.

Requirements

• Display a positive attitude and teamwork skills.
• Able to stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 8 hours per day.
• Able to frequently bend, lift, and twist.
• Meet the physical abilities evaluation requirements for this position.
• Successfully complete all required training.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Legal authorization to work for any employer in the United States (visa sponsorship not available).

Pay

$20.17 per hour, up to $24.14 depending on the backup position being performed.

Schedule

1:28pm – 9:58pm. Hours may vary depending on line assignment.
