What You'll Do
- Deliver clean linen and scrubs to hospital departments
- Collect soiled linen and prepare it for processing
- Stock linen rooms and maintain proper par levels
- Maintain inventory and record weights and quantities using a handheld device or forms
- Remove damaged or outdated linen from use
- Respond to department requests in a timely and professional manner
- Serve as a liaison between Linen Services and clinical teams
- Keep linen storage areas clean, organized, and safe
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, required
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working directly with clinical departments
- Perform repetitive physical tasks during the shift
- Document information using a handheld device or forms
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Push and pull carts weighing up to 1,000 pounds
- Stand, bend, stretch, and stoop throughout the shift
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of hospital linen or laundry processes
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel)
