About the Role
Under the supervision of the Laundry Department Supervisor or Manager, the Linen Service Worker collects all soiled linens from all the Nursing Units and other Ancillary departments, including Continuing Care.
Responsibilities
- Collection of all soiled linen from all the Nursing Units and other Ancillary departments, including Continuing Care
- Fill in the carts to 100% capacity
- Deliver linen exchange carts to all Nursing Units
- Distribute lines to all other Nursing units and Ancillary Departments
- Ensure soiled linen in laundry bags went through the Chute Room properly
- Maintain the bulk linen items line together
- Put away the linen items in the cabinets
- Keep the Linen Department clean and in order
- Line all the empty carts together against the wall
- Replenish and ensure exchange carts are filled with the appropriate Par levels
- Return empty carts to the linen department for restocking
Qualifications
- Strong ability to take direction
- Must have the ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, and lifting
- Possess basic math skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
Pay
$19.89 - $20.94 per hour
Schedule
Per Diem (scheduled to work based on the needs of the department). Evening shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Must work some weekends and holidays.
