Linen Aide I

About the role

Responsible for handling, inspecting, and processing new and clean linen stocks, assembling linen packs, and issuing linen. Also cleans the work area and performs related tasks as assigned or instructed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment and laundry areas, ensuring they are clean, neat, orderly, and safe.
• Stacks linens by folding items.
• Maximizes laundry production by monitoring workload requirements, equipment capacity, and operator availability.
• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts.
• Checks stock and notifies Supervisor of supply needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 0-1 year of laundry/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of laundry procedures required.
• Ability to work in a self-supervised capacity on weekends and holidays.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
