Linehaul Dispatcher
Full-time position based at our Tonawanda, NY Service Center.
About the role
Plan, direct, and coordinate the movement of regional and national LTL shipments. Develop geographical-specific plans to ensure service standards are achieved in the most economical means possible. Direct the use of Purchased Transportation and Intermodal. Coordinate LCV lanes in geographical areas (when required) and reduce partial and empty dispatches by managing freight flow and resources.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate LTL shipment movements regionally and nationally.
- Develop cost-effective geographical plans to meet service standards.
- Direct Purchased Transportation and Intermodal operations.
- Coordinate LCV lanes as needed.
- Manage freight flow and resources to minimize partial and empty dispatches.
Requirements
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using PC, Database, and Mainframe applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Outlook, and other Microsoft products.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a freight dispatcher or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in freight truck routing.
- Experience in LTL freight or similar industry.

Pay
$65,000 - $72,000 per year.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday - Friday, various shifts available. PTO may be used immediately upon hire.
