About the role
United Airlines is seeking a full-time Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) with valid Airframe & Powerplant certification to join the Technical Operations team in one of United's domestic HUBS. In this vital role, you will provide service and maintenance for aircraft systems, Powerplant, Airframe and Components. You'll handle a wide variety of duties that make every day different, including inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, parts replacement and repair, as well as routine maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Provide service and maintenance for aircraft systems, Powerplant, Airframe and Components
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, parts replacement and repair, as well as routine maintenance
- Work collaboratively and professionally with co-workers, receiving and providing support as a great teammate
- Handle hands-on work in outdoor elements, capable of handling weather extremes
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/Educational Equivalent
- FAA A&P License
- Valid US Driver's License
- Computer literacy
- Must pass a background check and drug screen upon contingent job offer
- An eagerness to learn and willingness to train
- The ability to access elevated aircraft areas via ladders, lift trucks, boom lifts and other devices
- The strength to lift 50 pounds, physical flexibility and the ability to work in confined spaces
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Schedule
- Must be available for any shift within a 24/7 operation, weekends and holidays
- May be required to work mandatory overtime, when necessary
- Punctuality and reliability are essential

Pay
The starting rate for this role is $38.77.
