Line Producer

About The Role & Team

The Network News team at TelevisaUnivision is looking for a Line Producer to join our team. This is a chance to help shape one of our daily news programs for N+Univision, streaming 24/7 on our hit platform ViX. The Line Producer will manage the production of daily shows, support the Executive Producer with preproduction and team management, and play a role in special programs beyond the daily news cycle. This role carries real editorial weight: you'll shape the rundown, bring sharp news judgment, source strong stories, and make split-second calls that define how our audience experiences the news.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily rundown — story selection, placement, and editorial direction, with a strong voice in what makes the show and why.
• Bring sound news judgment to every decision: vetting sources, assessing newsworthiness, and shaping the editorial angle of each story.
• Execute the timing of live shows from the control room, making confident, last-minute calls under pressure.
• Work closely with the Associate Producer and/or Graphics Producer on the development and production of daily news graphics.
• React quickly to breaking news, adjusting the show in real time to keep our coverage first and accurate.
• Participate in special news programming and coverage, beyond the daily shows, including field coordination.
• Maintain close communication with the assignment desk, production, and technical crews to keep every show running seamlessly.
• Back-time shows and adjust rundowns effortlessly while on air.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Journalism or Communications.
• Minimum 5 years of experience line producing/producing.
• Strong news judgment and a deep, current knowledge of the news landscape.
• Experience with social media platforms.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish, written and oral.
• Knowledge of iNews or similar newsroom systems (e.g., Dalet).
