Line Operators for all shifts – Rochester, NY

About the role

Polymer Resources is seeking line operators for 3rd shift at our Rochester, NY facility. We compound Engineering Thermoplastic materials used in Injection Molding and Profile Extrusion applications for Medical, Automotive, Consumer, and Industrial markets. As a service-focused specialty plastics provider, we maintain on-time delivery rates greater than 99% with low returns and anticipate double-digit growth over the next three years. This is a hands-on role in a collaborative team environment where everyone contributes directly to our success.

Responsibilities

• Set up and change over extrusion lines between batches
• Operate extrusion equipment (single and twin screw) and sub-systems including pumps, blowers, pelletizers, and temperature controllers
• Load hoppers with raw materials and remove boxes of finished product from the line
• Maintain a clean work area
• Complete proper documentation for each batch

Requirements

• Ability to work with hand tools
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to multi-task
• Ability to handle basic math functions
• Ability to follow written instructions
• Forklift operation (certification a plus)
• Ability to work independently when needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Extrusion experience, particularly with twin-screw extruders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
