Line Operators for all shifts – Farmington, CT

About the Role

Polymer Resources is seeking line operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts at our Farmington, CT facility. We compound Engineering Thermoplastic materials used in Injection Molding and Profile Extrusion applications for Medical, Automotive, Consumer, and Industrial markets. As a service-focused company specializing in custom-colored products and materials with specific property profiles, we maintain on-time delivery rates greater than 99% and anticipate double-digit growth over the next three years.

This is a hands-on role in a collaborative team environment where everyone contributes to our success.

Responsibilities

• Set up and change over extrusion lines between batches.
• Operate extrusion equipment (single and twin screw) and sub-systems, including pumps, blowers, pelletizers, and temperature controllers.
• Load hoppers with raw materials to feed extruders.
• Remove boxes of finished product from the line.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Complete proper documentation for each batch.

Requirements

• Ability to work with hand tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Ability to handle basic math functions.
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Forklift operation (certification a plus).
• Ability to work independently when needed.

Desired Skills

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Extrusion experience, with twin-screw extruder experience helpful.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
