Line Operator

The Opportunity

Precious Plate is hiring a Line Operator to join our team. As a Line Operator, you will perform a variety of activities required to manufacture products, including the reel-to-reel operating of our electroplating manufacturing lines. This is a full-time position, working from 7am – 7pm OR 7pm – 7am on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, reporting to the Production Foreman.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Use of the reel-to-reel electroplating manufacturing lines and/or equipment to convert raw materials into plated product
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to maintain product quality
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Troubleshoot process issues and report findings to appropriate team members
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum 12-months prior manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work safely, efficiently, and reliably in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality standards
• Ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instructions
• Math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Ability to work independently and perform cooperatively with others
• Ability to operate hoists and other motorized equipment to move material
• Ability to hear, see, occasionally bend, stoop and kneel, stand for 8 to 12 hours per day, and push, pull or lift up to 50lbs as needed to perform essential job functions

Working Conditions

• Regularly works with chemical solutions
• Environment may be high temperatures depending on ambient outside temperature
• Safety glasses, steel or composite toe boots, and hearing protection required
• Other PPE may be required depending on responsibilities
• Could be exposed to background noise, odors, or dust

Pay

$25.00 – $27.00 per hour
