Essential Functions
- Sets up equipment such as pumps, choppers, slitters, wrapper belts, and conveyors.
- Maintains equipment and product, collects, examines, measures, weighs, and tests product to verify machine setup and conformance of product to specifications.
- Adjusts equipment to regulate flow, color, slit depth, angle of cut, length of pieces and maximize throughput.
- Records and maintains production data, such as run time, waste, quantity, type, and dimensions of materials produced.
- Dismantles and cleans equipment according to standard sanitation procedures then reassembles it.
- Manually feeds product that has accumulated within required time frame.

Minimum Requirements
- Six-months of food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of production processes, food safety and quality controls typically required in a food manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret simple written instructions and follow established procedures.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with coworkers.
- Ability to use hand tools to adjust equipment and measure product.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Will be required to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.
Work Ability Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or grasp items and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel and crouch.
- The employee lifts and carries objects up to 5 lbs. regularly and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
