Line Mechanic L2 - 3rd Shift
Onsite at the facility located in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
About the role
The Line Mechanic position reports to the Maintenance Team Lead and is responsible for troubleshooting, line repairs, parts replacement, completing work orders, participating in Planned Maintenance (PM), cleaning and lubricating equipment according to pre-set standards, performing teardowns and set-up of equipment, and observing all safety regulations. Ensures GMP and quality standards are met to maintain efficient production flow. Requires a sound mechanical background to understand the theory of operation for all equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform teardowns/set-ups of assigned equipment including completion of startup checklist
- Perform Planned Maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment
- Complete assigned corrective/maintenance work orders
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Perform code verifications on individual/masters
- Complete parts replacement (e.g., motor, gearboxes, hoses, and pins)
- Participate in production line drumbeats
- Make minor line adjustments
- Complete required reports (e.g., PM, Work Orders, Centerline) and parts requisitions
- Train others in best practices
- Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
- Move up to 75 lbs
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; Technical School preferred
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or related experience
- Knowledge of basic hand/power tools
- Knowledge of Planned Maintenance and Maintenance Work cycle
- Knowledge and skill in pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, piping, and power transmission
- Basic knowledge of welding, machining, and electrical
- Knowledge of Plant safety, GMPs, confined spaces
- Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- LOTO/PIT certified
Pay
Starting pay up to $26.48 per hour. Attendance bonus: $0.50 per hour (first shift), $0.60 per hour (second shift), $0.70 per hour (third shift).
Schedule
Shift: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Scheduled/assigned times and required overtime.
