Line Mechanic C

About The Position

We are presently seeking Line Mechanic C for an opening in Albion, NY. In addition to a starting wage of $49.35 per hour, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition assistance and more.

Job Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of three and a half years’ experience as a lineman
• Must be a qualified Journeyman
• Must have a good knowledge of Company line practices and standards, phasing and phase rotation on polyphase circuits, and ability to make polyphase transformer installations
• A good knowledge of the transmission and distribution systems in the area to which the employee is assigned
• Must pass physical abilities examination
• Must pass pre-employment validated company test(s)
• Must have a valid drivers license with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver Policy
• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Must possess a CDL A (Commercial Driver's License) and a DOT Medical Card
• Ability and willingness to work around hazardous/heavy equipment and energized electrical equipment
• Ability and willingness to wear and use safety equipment as required by Company safety rules and federal, state and local regulations
• Ability and willingness to travel to various Company locations and remote job sites
• Ability and willingness to work different schedules, on holidays and weekends and overtime as required
• Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including all weather conditions, at elevated heights (above 30 feet) and in confined spaces
• Must live within 35 miles of posting location

Salary

$49.35/Hr
