Line Loader-Nights

About the role

Hang all incoming saddles and leg quarters on shackles manually by hand.

Responsibilities

• Pick up saddles from moving belt.
• Hang saddles and leg quarters on shackles, keeping them full.
• Hang at the speed of the production line.
• Participate as a member of the team, including ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members.
• Attend appropriate team meetings.
• Foster strong team cohesiveness regarding major issues (e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes).
• Identify and address areas lacking cohesiveness, bringing them to the team leader’s attention and working toward resolution.
• Support Simmons' operating systems (e.g., quality, security, company policies) and maintain familiarity with this position’s role in these systems.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Physical Activities

• Occasional bending at the neck and waist, reaching above, at, and below shoulder level.
• Constant standing.
• Simple and power grasping of the hands, fine manipulation/feeling with the hands.
• Repetitive motion of the shoulders, arms, and hands.
• Light lifting (up to 7 pounds).
• Use of vision.

Work Environment

• Inside line work around loud equipment/machines.
• Walking around drains, footbaths, and hoses.
• Wet environment with occasional dust.
