Line Cook - Velvet Buffalo

As the Line Cook, you will serve customers with the consistency and quality food that they expect from our establishment. You will work as a team to create a memorable dining experience for all of our members and their guests.

What your day will look like

• Know and understand every item on the menu (including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules)
• Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
• Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
• Timing is everything; work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
• During prime service hours, stay focused on designated tasks. Communicate consistently with co-workers
• Practice safe knife handling; if training is needed, see the Chef
• Always look for ways to be productive when there is time to spare
• Open/close the kitchen properly and follow the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations

What it takes to succeed

• You have at least one year of Kitchen experience preferred but not required
• You have basic math skills required, must be able to add, subtract, and count change back to customer
• You have legible handwriting, and strong customer service and oral communication skills
• You are able regularly to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms, lift, carry, and deliver boxes and items that may weigh up to 50 pounds
• If over 18, you are able to use slicers and heavy equipment
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pay

$17.00 – $20.00 per hour
