Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of food by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning, marinating, or other relevant tasks
- Cook a variety of food in ovens, grills, broilers, fryers, and other kitchen equipment
- Follow procedures for portions, cooking methods, plating, garnishing, quality standards and all other kitchen policies and procedures
- Keep line stations clean and stocked throughout each shift to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all sanitation and food storage regulations when handling, storing, and preparing food and using kitchen equipment
- Assist in opening and closing responsibilities for the kitchen
- Attend all employee meetings and perform any other relevant task as instructed by a manager or the Director of Culinary Operations
- Have the ability to develop positive work relationships with restaurant staff and work as part of a team
Requirements
- 1 year of restaurant industry experience
- The ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times and display a positive and enthusiastic approach at all times throughout your shift
- The ability to demonstrate a complete understanding of the menu
- The ability to follow recipes and sanitation requirements
- The ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the kitchen
