What You Get To Do
- Cook and prepare various menu items for special events.
- Adjust food quantities based on expected attendance.
- Represent the company with a positive attitude and high energy.
- Assist in managing team operations and special events.
- Estimate food requirements and place orders with suppliers or procure from storage.
- Coordinate food deliveries to event sites.
- Regulate oven, broiler, grill, roaster, and steam kettle temperatures.
- Mix and measure ingredients according to recipes.
- Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, and vegetables.
- Add seasoning to foods during preparation.
- Taste and smell foods to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Portion food onto serving plates and add necessary garnishes and sauces.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest requirements and expectations.
What It Takes To Succeed
- Two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to lift and move up to 55 pounds.
- Able to stand for long periods in varying environmental conditions.
- Able to use hands and fingers, reach, handle, feel, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work both indoors and outdoors in diverse conditions.
- Able to interact positively with guests and colleagues from various backgrounds.
- Ability to pass relevant food handler exams.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Culinary certificate preferred.
