VAGA Restaurant & Bar at Alila Marea Beach Resort seeks a skilled Cook to join our dynamic team. Located in Encinitas, just 28 miles north of San Diego International Airport, Alila Marea is a refreshing beachfront resort committed to conscious travel and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards.
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and management.
• Adapt to changing menu requirements and guest preferences.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of high-end restaurant line cook experience.
• Previous related hotel experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic cooking techniques.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
