Line Cook - PM Shift

About the role

San Diego Mission Bay Resort is a sprawling 357-room resort with multiple dining options, a beautiful pool, a kids pool, bay views, fire pits, and more. We are seeking a PM Line Cook to join our team and create culinary masterpieces for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prep, set up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production for our Food & Beverage outlets.
• Execute classic knife cuts and multiple cooking techniques on both cold and hot lines.
• Manage special requests and maintain efficiency during aggressive ticket times.
• Multi-task in a team-oriented environment with a positive attitude and flexibility.
• Adhere to safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow direction from supervisors and incorporate feedback for daily growth.
• Focus on teamwork and maintain constant communication with colleagues and supervisors.
• Follow daily checklists and report any issues or challenges to management.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of previous experience in a high-volume, upscale, from-scratch kitchen.
• Comprehensive knife skills and knowledge of classic cooking techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; bend, twist, squat, stoop, and reach above head.
• English proficiency and strong communication skills.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.

Pay

$21.21 hourly.
