Line Cook | Part-Time | Keesler Federal Park

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain quality and production standards on all menu items.
• Ensure food is fresh and of high quality when served to guests.
• Manage portion control and serving temperatures of all products served in the concession stand.
• Clean, stock and restock workstations and displays.
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and ovens.
• Ensure all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away, and floor is swept and mopped at end of shift.
• Check out before ending shift with the Floor Supervisor to ensure the concession stand meets cleanliness standards.
• Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
• Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully and professionally with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests.
• Previous experience as a prep cook or line cook a plus.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.

The venue, Keesler Federal Park, is located on the scenic Mississippi Coast and is the home of the Double-A Biloxi Shuckers of the Southern League. With a seating capacity of up to 6,067, the park offers fans an exceptional game-day experience with various amenities and a rich local culture reflecting the city's seafood heritage. The Shuckers, the Milwaukee Brewers' Double-A affiliate since 2015, have produced numerous Major League Baseball stars and have hosted the 2019 Southern League All-Star Game, solidifying their place in Southern League history.
