Essential Functions
- Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
- Executes service and production of food products for all/any areas of the kitchen
- Recognize quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy, and meat products
- Aids with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, and all storage areas
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Kitchen Manager
- Maintain assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
- Handle food in a manner that is consistent with local health department guidelines
- Follow proper food handling techniques and coordinates the use of time, material and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense
- Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene
- Comply with department’s dress code
- Follow safety regulations, reporting injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor
- Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel
- Frequently required to stand and walk
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision & focus

- Kitchen environment
- The noise level in this office is usually moderate to high
Education And Experience
- High school diploma and or equivalent
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus, however, not required
