Primary Task
- Prepare a variety of food using diverse methods and follow specific product prep and handling procedures.
- Plate food according to Chili's Grill & Bar specifications and maintain a high-quality product.
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning and sanitizing throughout the shift.
- Ensure a steady flow of prepared food from the kitchen.
- Communicate ticket times and potential issues with the QA, manager, and servers.
- Complete assigned prep work to stock and set up stations.
- Clean and break down stations or work areas at the end of the shift.
- Rotate products and restock supplies.
- Perform shift change and opening/closing responsibilities.
- Follow all company safety and sanitation procedures.
- Assist other team members as needed.
Required Education and Experience
- Stand/walk 100% of shift.
- Reach, bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.
- Lift and carry up to 70 lbs, up to 20 times per shift; place items on high shelves and in walk-in cooler or freezer.
- Use knives and utensils.
- Use slicers or other kitchen machinery.
- Hold items for extended periods of time, bearing up to 5 lbs of weight.
- Work in a frequently damp, hot work environment.
- Willing to work weekends and holidays.
