Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia will be the fourth location in the Brooklyn Bowl chain, known for its innovative blend of music, bowling, and dining. The venue is located in the heart of Fishtown, near popular entertainment venues like The Fillmore and The Punchline.
About the Role
The Line Cook plays a crucial role in ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. They prepare food according to menus and assist with food service coordination.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare food based on menus
- Follow sanitation guidelines and learn new dishes
- Stock and clean kitchen stations
- Coordinate with other departments for food service
- Follow executive or sous chef's instructions
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely and high-quality manner
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Military school or formal on-the-job training preferred
- Training from a culinary school is an asset
- Experience with quantity food preparation
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Ability to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- Positive and professional attitude towards coworkers and customers
- Good communication and listening skills
- Patient and able to handle stress
- Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements
- Ability to concentrate despite distractions
- Physical stamina and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs
