General Purpose
Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption and enjoyment.
Essential Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat and organized work environment.
- Follow recipes, increase or decrease recipe as needed.
- Demonstrate good knife skills.
- Season food properly.
- Follow all processes in place.
- Read and understand contracts and order tickets.
- Communicate with all internal customers efficiently (stewarding, banquets, front of the house).
- Fill out all requisitions properly.
- Follow all rules and regulations in employee handbook.
- Rotate product in walk-in cooler.
- Clean and maintain equipment properly.
- Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation / health regulations and hotel requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- Clear communication in English with guests, co-workers, and management personnel.
- Compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Two years or more of experience in the culinary field.
- Food handling certificate.
- Sanitation certificate.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
- Culinary college degree (desirable).
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand, talk or hear.
- Frequently walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
