Line Cook
About the role
The Bay Bar and Grille is seeking line cooks to join their dynamic kitchen team. The restaurant has reopened after an extensive remodel and offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items correctly and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with all staff members
- Stock, prep, and clean all designated areas by checklists and management
- Aid in reducing and recording waste
- Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
- Follow all local, state, and federal health regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or management
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification preferred
- General knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
- Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to frequently lift 5-10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work safely around hazardous equipment and chemicals
Qualifications

Pay
$20-$24/hr plus tips
Schedule
All staff are required to work at least one weekend shift and part time employees must work an average of 3 days per week or more.
