Responsibilities
- Setting up and stocking the kitchen with all necessary supplies.
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking.
- Plating food and working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
- Cleaning the kitchen, washing cooking utensils, and storing the equipment at the end of shifts.
- Maintaining and cleaning kitchen equipment, including fryers, stove, oven, grill and dish machine.
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet the food safety standards and regulations set forth by the Ohio Department of Health.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.
- Must be Management certified (or willing to obtain upon hire) in food protection from the Ohio Department of Health.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license or State ID.
Skills
- Proven cooking experience.
- Management certification in food protection from the Ohio Department of Health.
- Understanding of various cooking methods, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
