About You
You are a dependable and detail-oriented culinary professional who values quality, safety, and service. You enjoy working in a collaborative kitchen environment and are passionate about creating meals that meet high standards and bring enjoyment to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food using established procedures and recipes
- Determine food quantities and ensure timely availability of supplies
- Set up food service areas and assist with meal service
- Follow all HACCP and sanitation protocols
- Store and label food properly, maintaining organized storage areas
- Ensure food quality and appearance meets expectations
- Maintain a clean work environment and report equipment issues
- Complete food temperature checks before service
Requirements
- Some High School education
- Prior experience in food service required
- 1 year as a Line Cook in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, or similar facility preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old (Dept. of Labor regulation)
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ServSafe Certification preferred
Schedule
Full-Time | This position follows a 2-week rotating schedule:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (7:00 AM–3:00 PM); Saturday (11:00 AM–7:00 PM)
- Week 2: Monday–Friday (7:00 AM–3:00 PM)
