Duties & Responsibilities
The candidate will need to be passionate about Southern style food and BBQ, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be physically capable of working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, and be flexible with their schedule.
- Prepare food items according to recipes and standards
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and management
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work well in a team environment with strong communication skills
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and some holidays
